Menstrual Hygiene Day 28th May 2017

We are glad to have celebrated our MH day event for 2017 together with the Kenya Girl Guides Association & Simama na Dada in Kajiado. Our partner school Kumpa Primary hosted our celebrations for the first time ever which was a great success.

Our day began with a procession taking our MH day movement to the streets which was made up of students, teachers and community, holding up our banner. This years theme for MH day is Education about Menstruation changes everything.

Our girls went through a session of education and demonstration on #menstruationmatters. We were also highly entertained by the students at Kumpa who prepared songs and dance for us.

Out MH day celebration this year we had students from Kumpa School, Paranei and Nkoile Schools in Kajiado. We had about 700+ girls who represented the MH movement for the day. We are pleased to have been a part of this successful MH day event bringing together stakeholders in the MH movement. Each of the girls got distribution packs of panties, sanitary towels and an MH booklet. Ou panties were donated by Panties with a Purpose who have supported Path to Womanhood menstruation matters for a number of years.
