23 August 2012, Rachuonyo: Oriwo Primary School

Path to Womanhood foundation recently had the pleasure of being represented by Jane Anyango in Rachuonyo for distribution of Sanitary towels that were raised through PTW.  If you have been following the work we have  been doing Jane is instrumental in all our Kibera outreaches.

So, Jane had a session with 20 to 30 girls in Kendu Bay from Oriwo Primary school on Thursday 23 August 2012 and designed a questionnaire asking questions such as:

  1. how many panties they have and how they acquired them?
  2. what they use during their periods and how they get them?
  3. when they started having sex and if they are still with the boyfriends they had sex with for the first time?

We shall get an indication of the results soon. Jane, thanks again for representing Path to Womanhood in Kendu Bay! We were able to provide 216 packets of sanitary towels. We hope the outreach results will give us an indication of the issues girls from the area are currently facing. Though the need is vast, PTW truly believe that we still make a difference irrespective of how small it is! Love and blessings to all our partners and supporters truly without you we would be nothing.

See the full load of pics Jane shared on the PTW Facebook group here,  these are just a few!
