How did you celebrate International Day of the Girl Child? We’ve had tones of excitement about this the whole of last week. Fundraising online to get some sanitary towels to give the girls as a gift.
The day began with entertainment segments and also speakers to motivate the girls. We spent the morning with the girls from Kibera schools such as Mashimoni, Ressurection, Nairobi Day, Magoso, Nairobi Soccer, just to name a few. We felt very honored to be there and to have been invited. Thank you so much to all those who sent in a contribution irrespective of how small you may think it was. In total we had 390 girls!
