Previously mentioned in our partnership with One for you, One for her we are now supporting Yiapoyo Parmeren.
Yiapoyo is 11 years old, and in Standard 1 Primary School. Already you can notice the lateness in her going to school, since most Standard 1 pupils are around the age of 5 or 6! She was rescued from FGM in June 2014. She is from a poor family and her grandmother is actually a renowned circumcisor in Kajiado. She has 6 siblings of whom neither are very far education wise. She would be the first to make a real difference to the future of her family. Her parents are currently unable to support fees for Yiapoyo and they are illiterate.
It continues to astound us how this can be happening in this day and age!
