Menstrual Health day is held every year on 28th May.
How did you spend your MH day this time round? Last year we were in Kajiado, this year we partnered again for #nomorelimits campaign in Busia County together with other partners.
Our event partnering with Simama na Dada Initiative happened on 27th May with about 1,304 young women!
We were hosted at Butula Boys Primary School in Busia and had a mix of girls from primary and secondary schools in the area some came from Bukhuma Primary, Bwaliro Girls, Butula Girls, Bridge Academy and many others.
Women and girls around the world need to manage their menstruation during their reproductive age. The specific challenges that women and girls experience differ widely, depending on education and soci-economic factors. Managing menstruation in dignity remains a challenge for most of our girls around Kenya.
Many times women and girls miss out on education, work and other opportunities when they cannot manage their menstruation.
With our partners, we will continue to support Empowerment of girls and women through good #menstrual hygiene
